Advanced Beyond Relief technology allows the Colonial Drummer to rise dramatically from the coin surface with lifelike detail.
The design incorporates shadow, texture, and movement into the familiar modern coin format.
Former U.S. Mint artist Michael Gaudioso collaborated on the design to honor Jack L. Ahr’s classic Colonial Drummer reverse.
The composition pairs the reverse with John Flanagan’s Washington obverse and the dual commemorative 1776-2026 date.
